ConnectIN Esports, an Indian esports organization, launched the first-ever FIFA Pro League tournament in India. The quarterly event series will kick-off on April 8th and runs through May 31st.
1.ConnectIN Esports and FIFA Pro League
ConnectIN required a media partner for the event and partnered with Esportznow. They also appointed SportzPower and The Fan Garage as their online partners.
ConnectIN Esports will be broadcasting the tournament matches live on YouTube. The highlights of the games will be uploaded and be available the next day for the fans to watch. Behind-the-scenes footage with the athletes, as well as interviews, will be uploaded to YouTube and Esportznow.
2.FIFA Pro League
The FIFA Pro League is designed to be in a double round-robin tournament format where players will be competing in 18 league matches per season. At the end of the tournament, there will be prize money and a trophy up for grabs. The total prize pool dedicated to the competition is about INR 1,85,000 (£1,955) with the champion walking home with about INR 50,000 (£528) and a trophy.
The tournament begins on the 8th of April and culminates with the Final Gameweek to be played on May 31. The FIFA Pro League in India will be conducted every quarter. Each season will be used to determine the ranking of players in India until the next season. There will be a total of 90 games every season.
The top FIFA esports players in the country will be participating in the first season of the FIFA Pro League. The ten players that will be contesting for the trophy are

The revenue generated from the first season of the FIFA Pro League in India through all sources including streaming, content, social media engagement, broadcast and sponsorship will be donated to the PM-CARES Fund associated with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
3.ConnectIN Esports Statement
The Co-founder of ConnectIN Esports, Dhruv Khanna, released a statement on the launch of the tournament. He said the company is excited to announce the launch of the FIFA Pro League for the first time for the top gamers in the country.
Also, he said the tournament is not just for players to earn bragging rights, but each player will also have the chance to win amazing prizes. Furthermore, the company is glad to contribute to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic that is currently affecting all of us.
4. Increasing prominence
Esports organizations in India are finally making efforts towards PC titles. For a long time, despite having a lot of potentials, titles such as FIFA have been away from the spotlight. This is because of the increasing prominence of mobile esports. The launch of the league in India is a step in the right direction for PC titles.
