Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Invitational Qualifiers

The online country qualifiers for the upcoming ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Invitational has been unveiled by ONE Esports. The invitational is in conjunction with Battlefy. The qualifier will be held on this platform.

The official schedule for the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Invitational Online Country Qualifiers has been announced. The teams in each country of the major region in Southeast Asia will all compete in the online qualifier for the chance to represent their country in the live regional tournament.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Schedule

The schedule for the qualifier in the six countries are as follow:

  • Indonesia: run through from May 2nd to May 3rd, 2020
  • Singapore: run through from May 9th to May 10th, 2020
  • Malaysia: run through from May 9th to May 10th, 2020
  • Myanmar: run through from May 16th to May 17th, 2020
  • Thailand & Laos: run through from May 16th to May 17th, 2020
  • The Philippines: run through from May 23rd to May 24th, 2020

The qualifier will have a total of 256 teams in each country competing for Best-of-1 knockout matches. The top 8 teams will then play Best-of-3 knockout matches. Then the finals in each country will be a Best-of-5 with the winner securing a spot at the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Invitational that will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from July 1 to July 5, 2020.

Six teams were invited for the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Invitational, these teams will be joined by the winners of the qualifiers in each country. These 12 teams will then battle for the prize pool of US$150,000 and to be crowned champion of the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Invitational.

Prize Pool Break Down

  • 1st place – $50,000
  • 2nd place – $25,000
  • 3rd place – $20,000
  • 4th place – $15,000
  • 5th and 6th place – $8,000
  • 7th and 8th place – $6,000
  • 9th and 10th place – $4,000
  • 11th and 12th place – $2,000

ONE Esports Statement

Carlos Alimurung, the CEO of ONE Esports, said in a statement after the announcement that Southeast Asia is at the vanguard of mobile esports. One Esports is using the invitational to provide the community with the amazing opportunity of competing against the best teams in the world.

Additionally, ONE Esports intended to use this invitational to execute a world-class competition series that engages and wows esports fans.

The Invitational by ONE Esport is only the first of two competitions expected to be done through their partnership with Moonton (Mobile Legends’ developer).
