ESL, the world’s largest esports company, and SAP, the global market leader in enterprise application software, are proud to continue their partnership at ESL One Birmingham Online 2020 following the partnership at ESL One Los Angeles Online 2020.
As with years, prior, SAP data analytics will provide fans with deeper insights into the world of professional Dota 2, using technology to create interesting insights about players’ and teams’ in-game performances. Coming to this year’s esports tournaments, there are a number of fan favorites and also new features, including player KPI records, item timings and records, lineup characteristics, historical win probabilities, and net worth progression graphs. SAP will leverage its SAP HANA® in-memory technology on the SAP Cloud Platform in order to provide this variety of live broadcast overlays with relevant data points throughout all phases of Dota 2 matches.
In making use of these valuable features, ESL and SAP will be aiming to enhance the viewing experience for all Dota 2 fans across the globe.
“We are excited to be expanding on our partnership with SAP. Together, and with the continuous development of these new technologies, we will make the next steps towards professionalizing esports even more.”, says Stephan Schröder, SVP Global Brand Partnerships at ESL.
“It is great to continuously work with ESL on improving and enhancing the live stream when it comes to interesting statistical insights. Together, we have digested the feedback we received from our previous collaborations and developed new types of overlays and graphics in order to make each game even more exciting and interesting to fans.”, adds Milan Cerny, Director of Strategic Partnerships at SAP.
